Leo List – My August Bucket List

As I indicated in the previous post, I want to be a woman of action this month. I am determined to work daily on my professional development but my personal development is just as important. I am not currently working a traditional job and I want to take this hiatus to enjoy life a little. I have created a 32 for 32 list of things that I want to accomplish before my next birthday. I also have a list of things I want to accomplish before the end of the year which I created when I noticed that not many of the things on the 32 for 32 list had been checked off. So I had the bright idea to create yet another list … this one is my August 2014 bucket list. (As you can see I love and live by lists).

This list was created to get me going. After working three years at a job which left me with very little spare time, I just want to take some time to enjoy myself. I had hoped the tour of the US would provide me that but with the failure of that trip, I see I am going to have to provide it to myself. I have borrowed a few items from the other two aforementioned lists and added them to a few new ideas. This list is a mixture of social and personal items to enjoy as I complete.

  1. Catch a sunset at the beach.
  2. Read at least 2 books.
  3. Go bowling or skating with friends.
  4. Have a picnic in the park.
  5. Take a bike ride.
  6. Attend a live music event.
  7. Volunteer at least once this month.
  8. Surprise someone with a gift.
  9. Take some time to talk to a stranger.
  10. Take the dog for a walk once a week.
  11. Experiment with a makeup look from one of my saved YouTube videos.
  12. Try happy hour at a new restaurant.
  13. Eat brunch at one of the restaurants on my foodie hit list.
  14. Cook a new recipe from one of my cookbooks or Pinterest boards.
  15. Update resume.
  16. BLOG at least 3x each week.
  17. Record and learn to edit my intro for my YouTube series.
  18. Book my end of the year vacation.

If you are in the area, please feel free to join me in accomplishing any of these tasks. If not please feel free to borrow any of these for yourself but please share your photos and stories with me here or in the comments below.
